The Ohio County Board of Education will receive lump sum, clearly marked, sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, etc. for the “Ohio County Schools, Miscellaneous HVAC Improvements – Phase Two, OCMS – Gymnasium HVAC Unit Replacement” project. The project includes acceptance of all existing conditions which are to be inspected by all bidders prior to bidding, alternates as defined in the contract documents and all other general construction, mechanical and electrical work specified in the Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, Hawkins Abney, PLLC dated July 20, 2023.
Project consist of the demolition and disposal of the existing heat pump units serving the middle school gymnasium along with associated piping and ductwork with new HVAC heat pump units installed on the roof above existing mezzanine and storage room with new associated piping and ductwork as shown on construction documents. Also included will be improvements and modifications made to the existing controls system.
A Pre-Bid Meeting for all bidders will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Ohio County Middle School, 1404 South Main Street, Beaver Dam, Kentucky 42320. All attendees must sign-in at the front lobby then be directed to the meeting room.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time, on September 12, 2023, at the Ohio County Board of Education, located at 315 East Union Street, Hartford, KY 42347. Proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids received after this time shall not be accepted and will be returned back to the bidder. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms contained in the Project Manual and enclosed in a sealed envelope with the following on the outside:

Bid Documents may be obtained from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 upon deposit of One Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of One Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Checks covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Ohio County Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents are available from Maco-Evansville Blue.Charges to obtain electronic copies must be arranged with Maco-Evansville Blue. No partial sets will be issued.
