KENTUCKY UNITED METHODIST CHILDREN’S HOME, OWENSBORO CAMPUS DINING ROOM ADDITION

Project Description: Construction of a 1,200 sf dining hall addition, and related remodeling.

The Work includes, but is not limited to selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, metal fabrications, miscellaneous carpentry, spray polyurethane foam insulation and air barrier system, open cell spray polyurethane foam insulation, thermoplastic membrane roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, firestopping, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, flush wood doors, wood windows, door hardware, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient wall base and accessories, linoleum tile floor coverings, painting, fire protection specialties, HVAC & plumbing systems, electrical (power & lighting) systems, and clean-up and removal of construction debris.

Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents.

A prebid conference will be held on March 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM, prevailing time, at the office of the owner, Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Home, 201 Phillips Court, Owensboro, Kentucky 42303. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.

Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time on April 25, 2024, at the office of RBS Design Group, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301, and then at said office privately opened. Bidders will be notified of the results within one week.

One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812-464-8108), upon deposit of One Hundred Fifty Dollars for each set of Documents. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Checks covering deposit shall be made payable to the Owner. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.

Electronic copies of the documents are available from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, IN. (812-464-8108). Charges to obtain electronic copies are non-refundable and are to be arranged with, and paid directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue.

Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids.

Partial sets of documents are not available from the office of the Architect.
