The Project name is “DAVIESS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, WHITESVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, CAFETERIA ADDITION AND REMODELING”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C., Owensboro, Kentucky. Drawings and specifications are dated February 1, 2024

Project Description: Construct a 1200 SF addition and remodeling to the existing cafeteria at Whitesville Elementary School.

The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel, steel deck, metal fabrications, misc. carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, spray polyurethane foam insulation, open cell spray polyurethane foam insulation, thermoplastic membrane roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, firestopping, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, aluminum windows, finish hardware, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient wall base and accessories, linoleum tile floor coverings, painting, fire protection specialties, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical and clean-up and removal of construction debris.

Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents.

Proposals will be received on April 30, 2024 until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, at the Daviess County Schools Maintenance Office, 1621 Southtown Boulevard, Owensboro, KY 42301, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A prebid conference will be held on April 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM, prevailing time, at the Whitesville Elementary School, 9656 Hwy 54, Whitesville, KY 42378. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.

One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Prime contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Daviess County Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with, and paid directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.

Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be arranged with, and paid for directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue (non-refundable).
