The Project name is “HANCOCK COUNTY SCHOOLS, ATHLETIC FIELD IMPROVEMENTS, LEWISPORT, KENTUCKY”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C. Drawings and specifications are dated December 15, 2022.
Project Description:
1) preparation of new football field, including drainage system to receive new turf (NIC- by others)
2) New asphalt 8-lane track, including field events to receive new rubberized coating (NIC- by others)
The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, storm drainage, asphalt paving, chainlink fences and gates, lawns and grasses, base construction and related subsurface work for artificial grass field, infilled synthetic turf system, polyresin track system, track striping, cast-in-place concrete, flagpoles, track and field equipment, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
The Owner will be purchasing the turf for the football field and the rubberized coating of the track from the Kentucky State Price Contract.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the office of the Owner, Hancock County Schools Board of Education, 83 State Route 3543, Hawesville, Kentucky, 42348, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
A prebid conference will be held at 10:00 AM, prevailing time, on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Hancock County High School Football Field, 80 State Route 271 South, Lewisport, KY. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.
One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Hancock County Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
