The Calloway County Board of Education will receive lump sum sealed bids on a general contract for a new gymnasium annex between Calloway County Board of Education Office and Calloway County Middle School. Also construct a new parking lot in front of Calloway County High School.

The Project name is “CALLOWAY COUNTY SCHOOLS, CALLOWAY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AUXILIARY GYMNASIUM, CALLOWAY COUNTY, KENTUCKY”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C. Drawings and specifications are dated May 20, 2021.

Project Description: The Work consists of a new 13,560 SF gymnasium.
The Work includes, but is not limited to, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, asphalt paving, chain link fences and gates, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, steel joist, steel deck, metal fabrications, metal stairs, miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, spray-on thermal insulation, metal building insulation, soffits, thermoplastic membrane roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, firestopping, joint sealants, metal doors, access doors and frames, overhead coiling doors, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, door hardware, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, ceramic tile, acoustical panel ceilings, wood athletic flooring assemblies, resilient wall base, linoleum tile floor coverings, painting, high-performance coatings, toilet compartments, signs, post and panel signs, metal lockers, fire protection specialties, protective covers, toilet and bath accessories, athletic equipment, telescoping stands, metal building systems, HVAC and plumbing systems, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
There are some Alternate Bids included. Refer to specification section 01230.

Proposals will be received until 2:00 P.M., prevailing time, on September 7, 2021, at the Calloway County Schools Central Office, 2110 College Farm Road, Murray, KY 42071, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

A prebid conference will be held on August 30, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, at the Calloway County Schools Central Office, 2110 College Farm Road, Murray, KY 42071. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.

One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. General Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Calloway County Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
