Project Description: The Work consists of construction of a new greenhouse and related work.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on July 20, 2021, at the Hancock County Board of Education, 83 State Rt 3543, Hawesville, KY 42348, and then at said office publicly
opened and read aloud.
A prebid conference will be held on July 13, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, at the Hancock County High School, 80 St. Rt 271 S, Lewisport, KY 42351. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.
The Work includes, but is not limited to, site clearing, dewatering, earthwork, cast-in-place concrete, pre-engineered greenhouse structure, HVAC & plumbing systems, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
There is one Alternate Bid included. Refer to specification section 01230.
The Owner intends to purchase significant quantities of material items, specifically the greenhouse structure, through direct purchase order for this project in order to save sales tax. These items within the project will bid through the prime contractors, but be purchased directly by the Daviess County Board of Education. Interested material suppliers may contact the Architect, RBS Design Group, PSC, for the names of prime contractors who have expressed interest in bidding the project. Contractors shall refer to specification section 00200, Instructions to Bidders, section 6.6; specification section 00220; page 8 of specification section 00410, Form of Proposal; specification section 00411, Purchase Order Form; specification section 00412, Purchase Order Summary Form; and specification section 01100, Summary, item 1.6.
One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. General Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Hancock County Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
