A prebid conference will be held on January 27, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, at Cravens Elementary School, 2741 Cravens Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.

Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on February 11, 2021, at the Owensboro Independent Board of Education, 450 Griffith Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Two sets of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by general contractors and one (1) set by mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, masonry and roofing contractors from Maco -Evansville Blue 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable.

Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Owensboro Independent Schools Board of Education. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.

Project Descriptions: A one-story addition to the existing building, containing approximately 17,329 square feet, mechanical mezzanine of 476 square feet and storage mezzanine of 514 square feet, including a gymnasium and stage, performing arts classroom, art/science classroom, resource room, family resource center, new toilet rooms, and aluminum drop-off canopies. Also included, miscellaneous renovations to existing building, including new media center, new HVAC system with geothermal well field, new fire suppression system, new suspended T-bar ceiling and LED lighting throughout.

The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, building demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, chain link fences and gates, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, cementitious wood fiber deck, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, cold formed metal framing, metal fabrications, steel stairs handrails and railings, miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, building insulation, spray polyurethane foam insulation and air barrier system, open cell spray polyurethane foam insulation, exterior insulation and finish systems, metal roof panels, thermoplastic single ply membrane roofing , sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, roof accessories, firestopping, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, access doors and frames, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, aluminum windows, door hardware, glazing, gypsum sheathing, gypsum board assemblies, ceramic tile, acoustical panel ceilings, wood athletic flooring assemblies, resilient floor tile and accessories, linoleum tile floorings, resilient wall base and accessories, carpet tile, acoustical wall panels, painting, visual display boards, toilet compartments, interior and exterior signs, fire protection specialties, protective covers, toilet accessories, stage curtains and light baffles, projection screens, gymnasium equipment, roller shades, library furnishings, telescoping stands, HVAC & plumbing systems, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
