The Daviess County Board of Education will receive lump sum sealed bids on a prime contract for the utilities as indicated for the proposed new middle school.
The Project name is “DAVIESS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT, OWENSBORO, KENTUCKY”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C., Owensboro, Kentucky. Drawings and specifications are dated March 15, 2020.
The Work of this package the construction of approximately 2,121 linear feet of 8-inch waterline, 168 linear feet of 6-inch waterline, and 1,209 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer, including all appurtenances as shown on the contract drawings.
The Work includes, but is not limited to, temporary facilities and controls, trenching and backfilling, stormwater pollution prevention, lawn and grass restoration, clean up and removal of construction debris.
Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on January 12, 2021 , at the Daviess County Schools Learning Center, 1700 Parrish Plaza Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
A prebid conference will be held on January 5, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, at the Daviess County Schools Learning Center, 1700 Parrish Plaza Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.
One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Prime contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Daviess County Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with, and paid directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue with a $20 separate check.
Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be arranged with, and paid for directly to, Maco-Evansville Blue (non-refundable).
Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids.
