The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, dewatering, earthwork, soil stabilization, termite control, water distribution, sanitary sewerage, trenching and backfill, storm drainage, asphalt paving, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, simulated stone masonry, structural steel, , steel deck, metal fabrications, miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, building insulation, metal building insulation, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, coiling doors, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, aluminum windows, finish hardware, glazing, gypsum sheathing, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient wall base and accessories, luxury vinyl tile floor coverings, sheet vinyl floor covering, painting, high-performance coatings, visual display boards, toilet compartments, signs, post and panel signs, metal lockers, fire protection specialties, protective covers, toilet and bath accessories, HVAC and plumbing systems, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
There are several Alternate Bids included. Refer to specification section 01230.
Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on November 5th, 2020, at the Ohio County Schools Central Office, 315 East Union Street, Hartford, KY 42347, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
A prebid conference will be held on October 22, 2020, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, at the construction site located in front of and adjacent to the Ohio County Area Technology Center, 1406 South Main Street, Hartford, KY., 42347. All bidders should plan on attending this meeting.
One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. General Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Ohio County Public Schools. All mailing charges (non-refundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be arranged with and paid for directly to Maco-Evansville Blue (non-refundable).
Partial sets of documents are not available.
Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids.
