The Project name is “OHIO COUNTY SCHOOLS, WAYLAND ALEXANDER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRESCHOOL ADDITION”, as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C. Drawings and specifications are dated July 16, 2020.
Project Description: The Work consists of a 4 classroom addition to Wayland Alexander Elementary School, consisting of 4630 SF, one story construction.
The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, subdrainage, asphalt paving, chain-link fences and gates, playground surface, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, metal fabrications, steel handrails and railings, miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, spray foam insulation and air barrier system, open cell spray foam insulation, modified bitumen roofing, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, firestopping, joint sealants, standard steel doors and frames, flush wood doors, aluminum windows, finish hardware, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient floor tile, sheet vinyl floor coverings, painting, visual display boards, signs, fire protection specialties, protective covers, toilet and bath accessories, HV AC and plumbing systems, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris.
Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on September 10, 2020, at the Ohio County Board of Education Office, 315 E. Union St, Hartord, KY 42347, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
A prebid conference will be held on September I, 2020, at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, at the site, 1250 Oakwood Dr, Hartford, KY 42347. Although not mandatory, all bidders should plan on attending this meeting.
One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600
Court Street, Evansville, lndiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. General Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may
be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Daviess County Public Schools. All mailing charges (nonrefundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check.
Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be an·anged with and paid for directly to Maco-Evansville Blue (non-refundable).
Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids.
