Bids will be received until 2:00 pm EDT May 18th, 2020 at the Orleans Administration Office, 173 W. Marley Street, Orleans, IN 47452. Bids are for furnishing all product, labor, freight and materials and performing all work set out in the plans and specifications.

C. Proposals for the work will be received as follows: Base Bid Packages for Supplying and Installing Furnishings as identified on the Data Sheets.

D. A bid may not be withdrawn for a period of ten (10) days. Purchase orders will be issued after all approvals are obtained.

E. It is to be understood that the bidders may bid the furniture specified or may bid on equal or better product. Where trade name, brand name, manufacturer’s name or supplier is used, it is for the purpose of establishing design and quality of materials and not for the purpose of limiting competition.
Refer to submittal procedures on page 7.

F. The AIA Document A251, General Conditions of the Contract for Furniture, Furnishings and Equipment–2007 Edition and the AIA Document A151, Owner – Contractor Agreement shall be utilized on this project. Copies of each document are on file at the Furniture Specifier’s office for review.

G. The Furniture Specifier reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or informalities if deemed by it to be in the best interest of the Owner. Further, Vincennes Community School Corporation, or its representatives, reserves the right to reject any part of any bid or bids presented which in its opinion does not meet the standard of quality established by the specifications.

H. Indiana Sales Tax will not be required on this purchase. A tax-exempt number will be provided to the successful bidder(s).

I. Subcontractors and suppliers will not be issued Bidding Documents. It is the responsibility of the Furnishings Contractor to make bidding documents available to their subcontractors and suppliers.

J. Bid bond and Payment & Performance Bond shall not be required.
