Written sealed bids comprising the Work of the Project:

Will be received until 03:00PM, LOCAL TIME, Tuesday, January 29, 2019. They will be opened publicly and read aloud. No action will be taken at this bid opening. All bids will be taken under advisement for the Architect’s review and recommendation to the Union County Cooperative Extension District.

A deposit of $ 250.00 will be required of eligible bidders for procuring specifications, drawings, and contract documents. The deposit for plans and specifications will be returned to all the bidders, upon the return of plans, contract documents, and specifications to MACO-Evansville Blueprint Company in very good condition, within 14 days from date of receiving bids.

A copy of plans and specifications may be examined free of charge at the office of SKINNER DESIGN ASSOCIATES, Architecture.

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 9:00am. It will be held at the Union County Cooperative Extension Service, 1938 US Hwy 60 W, Morganfield, KY.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Union County Cooperative Extension Service or bidder’s bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Kentucky in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Should any contractor whose bid is accepted default in furnishing 100% Performance and Payment Bond and contract required, then certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner.

The contracts, for the respective work of the Project, shall be awarded, if at all, on the basis of the lowest and best evaluated bid prices.

The Union County Cooperative Extension Service reserves the right to reject any/or all bids or waive any formalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract. After the examination of bids has been made and it is determined by the owner to move forward with the project, the successful bidder will be determined and approved. All other certified checks or bid bonds shall be returned.
